Welcome to the home page of the Lincolnshire Group of the Hardy Plant Society.

The Lincolnshire Group is one of the largest county groups, and it exists mainly to stimulate an interest in the growing of hardy plants, to provide social events for people interested in hardy ornamental garden plants, to give practical assistance to people gardening out of doors in Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties, and to assist in the conservation of the widest possible range of hardy garden plants.

To help achieve these ends the Lincolnshire Group has a number of interesting and exciting activities. Including; monthly meetings during the winter, with visiting speakers, sales of plants and craft work, refreshments and social activities. The group also organizes, garden visits during the summer months, holidays, an annual plant fair, and the publishing of a periodical containing members articles, letters and artwork. Within the Lincolnshire Group there are also a number of Mini Groups who organize many activities at a local level for the benefit of our members. The Lincolnshire Group itself is affiliated to the nation wide Hardy Plant Society, and plays host to the national seed exchange scheme, which is also regarded by many as a major social event for the members who volunteer their help.

With special thanks to P. and M. Tatum of Hall Farm Nursery, Harpswell, who supplied many of the images used in these pages. Also B. Armstrong.
